Jan - May Entries
4/26/25 Its technically the 25th still but its 1 am on the 26th so whatever. Just finished my essays. I was super freaked and I didn't think I could do it but i fucking pulled through with a whole hour to spare. Elis in the studio pulling an all nighter, I was sad to see him go knowing ill be falling asleep alone, but I'm doing better than I thought. Im sleepy but also not, sort of in this weird inbetween, but im enjoying my time alone in the quiet after such a stressful week. Finals are next week and then eli graduates (what the fuck!?!?!?!) and then its summer!!! for like half a month and then more school lol. but at least ill have a little break. Work is trying to get me to input my schedule for may but im lowkey sick of their shit so im procrastinating, kinda wanna quit kinda like the money. That reminds me that i need to set up my card tomorrow so I can pay for the airbnb for our 4th (!!!!!!) anniversary. damn.
4/23/25 how many times can i shit on the comdes floor i swear to god. im so sorry yall i am like mutilating yalls safe space. i need to do my essay but i can focus on is my shit. or maybe its a fart but i refuse to find out at 3 pm during the busiest time of the building. this monster is also making me tweak the fuck out.
3/30/25 So tired all the time... but ive enjoyed the time i have. very excited for summer and sun and the river. listening to jeff buckley and its 3:30 am and life is? ok.

what is the point of giving your professors your preferred name if they dont use it? even one of my favorite professors in the world is guilty of it, but he'll use it when talking to my boyfriend?? okk
anyway i am STRESSEDDDD about midterms i actually should be studying rn but im procrastinating. I have an exam today and then another tomorrow and an essay due friday (and i work tomorrow so :') hh) anyway my boyfriend's sibling is coming to stay with us part of spring break and we're both kind of annoyed because honestly it would be SO nice to just have a break, but they want to plan this big party and we're both so exhausted we really don't want to have to deal with being good hosts and showing them around town, but our fate has been sealed i suppose.

i have class monday-friday. it is midterms. i had an exam today, i have one tomorrow, my bibliography is due tomorrow as well as a crit. i have an essay due friday. this is fine. i also work tuesday, thursday, saturday, sunday. this is also ok. what is not okay is that my truck tire is flat. wont air up. the part i need to remove the spare tire is gone. awesome. okay. boyfriends car gets towed and i pay $350 to have it released. i havent finished my crit bc my ink. wont work. still have my exam. and after i still have to go to work and i have no car. cool cool cool cool cool coolc coolcoldcolcoclodkfdgo

I had a really good time yesterday :^) me and my boyfriend went to the river and splashed around for a long time (even though it was way too cold oops.) I really really really want it to be warm enough to go tubing soon, but hopefully it warms up over spring break. Me and my roomate are watching Pen15 and its actually incredibly uncomfortable in the best way. I probably wont watch it on my own time but im having fun with it.

If you're into uncomfortable subjects Sophie Calle is this insane photographer whos obsessed with the idea of essentially stalking. she takes photos of people sleeping, stalks hotel rooms for pictures, and found a dudes wallet and called all their numbers to get info about him. she even found out when he was gone for a business trip and broke into(?) his house to take pictures. Its called "The Address Book" if anyones interested in the published series (which had to be taken down when she got sued by the dude for privacy concerns, but republished it when he died. wowe.)

Domestication of Chickens Chickens originated from "red jungle fowl" about 8000 years ago! (FYI human civilization is estimated to be about 6k years ago! Apparently chicken domestication was a higher priority?) Red jungle fowl still exist today in south/southeast asia. The study below indicates that the primary area of chicken domestication was Thailand. Other species which contributed to the gene pool are the grey jungle fowl (similar i think to a pheasent,) Sri Lanken jungle fowl, and the green jungle fowl.
